Achieving a Short Style Like Cheryl's:

Towel-dry wet locks to remove most of the moisture from your strands, then apply a few dabs of pomade to the ends of your layers.

Create a side part and blow-dry your bangs first, using a large round brush to pull them straight; tousle them to the side when dry.

Continue to blow-dry with the round brush, pulling each layer straight and making sure it's completely dry before moving onto the layer above.

When you're done, heat up a flat iron and run it over two-inch sections of hair to get really sharp ends, then follow up with a little more pomade to create separation between your layers.
